Sport Headphones
If you live an active lifestyle it's only right that you will want to take your music with you, and sport headphones allow you to do just that. Whether your preferred venue is the gym, the track or the road, a decent MP3 player and a pair of sport headphones can keep you company no matter what your preferred sport is. But chances are the phones that you got with your music player just won't cut it, which is where a good pair of sports phones become an essential purchase. But what should you go for?Style - This is so important, as the style of the phones is ultimately going to determine how comfortably they will fit in your ears, and comfort is something you are definitely going to want when you are out and about. Cupped phones which fit over the ears can be good but in ear phones are probably better. Unlike normal ear buds, you will probably want ones with a frame attached to them. This is normally a piece of plastic that fits around the back of your neck and holds the ear buds securely in to your ears meaning that they are much less likely to fall out while you are racing about. They're great for running, but you should always try phones out for a while before you buy them to make sure they are going to be right for you, especially if you are going to be using them for different sports.
Waterproof - Many styles of sports headphones will be waterproof, a massive plus to people who will be using them all year round and not just when the weather is good. Getting water into conventional phones is pretty much going to ruin them, and if you plan to run during rainy and wet seasons you need to make sure that your phones won't break as soon as a bit of miserable weather starts.
Build quality - Clearly this is going to be even more important on a pair of sports phones as they will take more of a beating than a regular pair of headphones. They should have a bit of weight to them, feel solid when you hold them, have a rigid yet flexible band on them and a coil that won't tangle up as soon as you unravel it! A remote control somewhere on the cord would be a good idea as well as this will allow you to change volume and even skip tracks without having to reach into your pocket all the time.
